Wet marshes in late October

It has been a rainy autumn, the air is clean and fresh. In the forests are remnants earlier this year, in nuances of yellow, brown and green. Marches are wet and soggy, in footpaths floats small creeks. Days are shorter and dimmer, the walks are decided by the daylight.

I haust har det regna støtt, lufta er frisk og rein. I skogen finst restar frå før i år, avstemde i gult, brunt og grønt. Myrane er våte og blaute, små bekker flyt i stigane. Dagane er korte og dimme og dagslyset styrer turen.

October rain

The creeks are swift and impossible to cross. The footpaths lies under water, or are like small rivers. Leaves which hung on the trees are yellow or brown and wet. The moss still lives. and and has a deep, wet green colour.

Bekkene er strie og uoverstigelege. Stigane ligg under vatn eller er blitt til små elvar. Blad som før hang på trea, er gule eller brune og våte. Mosen lever ennå, og har ein djup, våt grønfarge.

Friday - forests instead of home office

In the autumn the air is clearer and the insects are gone. The ground is moist, and the marshland soaked. The forests are calling when there are no other demands. Here everything is quiet. and the mind can relax.

Om hausten klarnar lufta og knott og mygg er borte. Marka er jamt fuktig og myrane er blaute. Ved høve innbyr skogen, når inkje anna krevst. Her er allting stille, og sinnet kan ta fri.

into the woods

Sometimes I just have to escape into the woods.
Like yesterday when these pictures were taken - in the Østmarka forests in Oslo.

Our dreams echoes the original reality, and we find traces after it where we haven't adapted the environment.

Åleine er ikkje einsam, pengelaus er ei fattig. Veik er den som er skild frå seg sjølv. Samhug byrjar i hjarta, skattar formest i hugen. Ro er det i livsens røter.
