new, shallow myths

pariser platz
Religious people often feel threatened by science and other disturbing facts, and some of them at the same time disqualify themselves by rejecting to read the 2nd in the same way as the 1st chapter of Genesis.

But most pathetic is it when people who claim to be non-religious, believe they have got new insight from easy-readers like Dan Brown's and similar.

I get surprised every time people try to "teach" me something they have read in the product of one man's free fantasy which pretends to have more insight in history, culture and arts than the total of thousands of highly educated, cooperating researchers' work over the times.

Free, honest search for truth seems to be least present among those who tries to escape from what they believe are old myths, and find support in reality-disconnected, newly made-up myths.
